Confessional Principles of Self-Defense

The 16th century protestant Reformation brought about the creation of declarations, or standards, which explained or defined the biblically based doctrinal positions of various Reformed churches. For the purposes of Si Vis Pacem, we include the standards of the Continental Reformed church, the Westminster Standards of the Presbyterians, and Keech's catechism based on the 1689 London Baptist Confession. While these standards do not reference firearms, they speak to the topic of the defense of life.
